Jeanette Eriksson brought up in Helsingborg, Sweden, where she started to play classical violin at the age of six. Two years later she started with Swedish folk music and since then she has continued to develope the two styles.

In 2002 Jeanette was awarded with the title Riksspelman (master musician in Swedish traditional music) at the age of 16. Three years later she started at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, Sweden where she graduated 2009 on folk music, classical music and baroque violin. In the same year, she was selected for the Academy of Ambronay 2009. This is an orchestra on tour, with young musicians from all over Europe. The concerts took place in France during July 2009.

Jeanette works as free lance musician within folk music, baroque music and classical music in different projects. As a solo violinist within the folk music genre, Jeanette has put her main focus on the music from the south of Sweden and her debut alum Låtar på skånska was released in March 2007. Jeanette is also experimetning with the similarities between folk music and baroque music

Besides the solo projects, Jeanette has a couple of collaborations with other musicians. Among them you find duo with Allan Skrobe (guitar/mandola) – a duo that plays both traditional and contemporary folk music, with influences from both classical music and world music.

Thuva Härdelin (violin) and Jeanette Eriksson (violin/viola) play folk music mainly from the Swedish provinces Skåne and Hälsingland, and a couple of own compositions. On Thuva's solo album Tidernas väg you can listen to a couple of tracks with this constellation.

Fredrik Bock (baroque guitar/lutes) and Jeanette Eriksson (baroque violin) play tunes from the Swedish folk music tradition on baroque instruments.
